Verizon Wireless Adds Visual Voice Mail

We are not big fans of Verizon Wireless because of their data lockouts they require of manufacturers for the phones on their network.  Their newest feature is pretty cool though.

Currently available on the Voyager, Visual Voice Mail allows customers to see a list of all of their voice mail messages with date and time of receipt, as well as message duration, in order to prioritize and manage their messages directly from their devices.  When a caller leaves a new voice mail message, the Visual Voice Mail application pops up, alerting the customer to a new message.  From the phone display, customers can select from a number of options, including call back, reply, forward, add to contacts and archive message.

The feature costs $2.99 a month plus impacts data usage.  It can be a great feature if you get lots of voice mails and need a better way to manage them.
