Upcoming Smartphone Releases: Part 2

Below is a list of smartphones slated to be released sometime within the next few months.  Most have been confirmed, but some are still only rumors.  Stay tuned for more updates.

BlackBerry 9670 Flip – Verizon Wireless.  Release date: August 2010.  Features: Likely will run on BlackBerry OS 6, clamshell shape and structure, large external and internal displays, and a 5 megapixel camera.

Nokia E5 – Unlocked.  Release date: August 2010.  Features: Direct access to corporate email, 5 megapixel camera, 2.4-inch display screen, and Wi-Fi and 3G compatible.

Nokia N8 – Unlocked.  Release date: September 2010.  Features: 12 megapixel camera (i.e. the best camera phone on the market), Wi-Fi and 3G network compatible, and HD video playback.

HTC Vision – T-Mobile (rumored).  Release date: September 2010 (rumored).  Features: QWERTY touch slider phone, excellent resolution, and powered by the Android OS (possibly version 2.1).

Nokia C7 – Unlocked.  Release date: October 2010.  Features: 3.5-inch full body capacitive touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera with flash (unconfirmed), and runs on Symbian 3 OS.

LG Panther – Carrier Unknown.  Release date: October 2010.  Features: Windows Phone 7 smartphone, slide out QWERTY keyboard, Wide VGA capacitive touchscreen, and 5 megapixel camera with LED flash.

Dell Thunder – T-Mobile and AT&T.  Release date: October 2010.  Features: Large display and integrated Hulu app, 8 megapixel camera with video and photo editor, and 4.1-inch display.

Dell Lightning – AT&T, T-Mobile.  Release date: December 2010 (rumored).  Features: Windows Phone 7; multi-touch pinch zoom; supports Silverlight, Flash, and Flash Video.

Samsung Omnia 3 – most likely Verizon Wireless.  Release date: January 2011 (rumored).  Features: Windows Phone 7, 5 megapixel camera with flash, and high-quality apps thanks to Silverlight 4.

Dell Flash – Possibly AT&T, possibly unlocked.  Release date: March 2011 (rumored).  Features: Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and video recording.
