Upcoming Smartphone Releases: Part 1

Below is a list of smartphones coming out in June and July 2010.  Most have been confirmed, but some are still only rumors.  Stay tuned for more updates.

Sony Ericsson Aspen – Unlocked.  Release date: June 2010.  Features: full QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 6.5.3 device, and long battery life (8 hours of uninterrupted talk time).

Dell Aero – AT&T.  Release date: June 2010.  Features: full body touchscreen (3.5-inch nHD display), specs designed to handle high-quality video streaming (includes Flash Lite 3), and access to Google Mobile Services.

HTC Aria – AT&T.  Release date: June 2010.  Features: powered by the Android 2.1 operating system, consolidates your social network feeds, and access to the Android Market (includes over 50.000 apps).

Nokia C6 – Unlocked.  Release date: June 2010.  Features: ideal for social messaging, full QWERTY keyboard (a slider smartphone), and 3.2-inch nHD touchscreen.

HTC Wildfire – Unlocked.  Release date: July 2010.  Features: full body 3.2-inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera (includes flash and auto focus), and ability to share apps over social networking websites.  (Note: this smartphone is designed for those who don’t want to spend a lot of money yet want a nice smartphone, and therefore doesn’t feature the highest quality gaming and web browsing features.)

BlackBerry Bold 9800 – AT&T.  Release date: July 2010 (rumored).  Features: slider QWERTY phone, runs on BlackBerry OS 6, and very compact design.

Motorola Flipout – Carrier Unkown.  Release date: July 2010.  Features: designed for social networking, runs on Android 2.1 operating software, a multi-touch 2.8-inch touchscreen, and full QWERTY keyboard.

Samsung Galaxy S – T-Mobile.  Release date: July 2010.  Features: runs on Android 2.1 OS, 4-inch touchscreen, and a front-facing web camera in addition to the 5-megapixel camera on the back.

Motorola Droid X – Verizon Wireless.  Release date: July 2010.  Features: Improved resolution, a capacitive touch screen, and the Android 2.1 operating system.
