The Pantech Duo has recently been released and is clearly a product that Pantech should be very proud of. It’s coolest feature is the dual slider, allowing for both QWERTY keyboard texting and quick dialing. Pantech describes a few of its features as follows:
Dual Slide
The Pantech Duo features an innovative dual slide design offering an oversize display, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a numeric keypad; all within a device only 4.2 inches long, 2 inches wide, less than an inch thick and a wieght of just 3.9 ounces.
Messaging
The Duo supports a variety of messaging options. Text friends or use multimedia messaging to share images and sound clips. Send and received messages from your personal or corporate email accounts. The full QWERTY keyboard makes it easy to communicate on the fly.
Multimedia
Relax and unwind. Download and listen to your favorite music from your PC using the embedded Windows Media Player. Purchase tracks from digital music stores. Subscribe to XM Radio and stream dozens of commercial free XM stations. Watch video clips from MobiTV or AT&T Cellular Video Service.
The Duo should compete very well with other slider phones produced by companies such as Motorola and LG. We look forward to the future phones that Pantech will release as long as they stick to this kind of quality.
