Available from AT&T, the Pantech Link II is built for the feature phone market that still don’t want a smart phone, but want a higher quality feature phone with tons of features. The Link II looks like a small Blackberry, with a full QWERTY 4 row keypad under the 2.4 inch screen. The body of the phone is 4.5 by 2.5 by 0.39 inches, making it very comfortable to hold and light enough to slip into your pocket. The 2.4 inch display supports 262,000 colors and has 320×240 pixel resolution. The screen is better than expected with great detail in the graphics. It’s also extremely easy to read texts and emails.
The keys on the keyboard are raised and comfortable to type on, despite the body of the phone being a little smaller. The keyboard has extra keys for your convenience, including a .com key, vibration mode key and symbols key. The Pantech Link II also includes a 2 megapixel camera that takes decent pictures, definitely good enough to share with your friends. It also has video capture for quick videos you can send in a message. The Link II has Bluetooth, email capabilities, standard tools, multimedia player, and an internet browser. The LG Doubleplay from T-Mobile definitely sets itself apart from the competition with dual touch screens and a split keyboard. What’s that, you say? The 3.5 touch screen on the front of the phone is accompanied by a 2-inch touch screen on the slid-out keypad. The keys are split on either side of the screen. What’s the point? LG felt with the fast pace lifestyle so many people have, being able to multi-task easier is a necessity to many people. The HTC Rezound is available on the Verizon Network and sets itself apart from the other smart phones being introduced for the holiday season with it’s music capabilities. The Dr Dre Beats Audio software that automatically boosts the sound and quality of your music is the first of its kind. It also has an incredible 8-megapixel camera. Colors show up very realistic and detail is captured without any problem. Don’t worry about blurry pictures anymore – HTC made sure the autofocus was one of the best. Capture a video with the 1080p HD or 720p HD video capture and rest assured it’ll look fantastic when you show it later on your HD TV.

The Samsung Exhibit II 4G is the second generation Samsung Exhibit, a great phone that set up the Exhibit line. The Exhibit II has a number of changes, is still loaded with features, and comes at a great price from T-Mobile. If you’re looking for a quality 4G smart phone on a budget, this is the phone you need. The Exhibit II measures 4.54 by 2.35 by 0.45, making it very compact and pocket friendly. The Samsung Focus Flash i667 is a well built, feature loaded phone available from AT&T at a very reasonable price. A comfortable size, the Flash measures 4.57 by 2.31 by 0.43 inches and weighs a mere 4.1 ounces. The body has a plastic body, which is why it’s so light, and has a metal battery door to provide extra protection to the back of the phone. The screen is 3.7 inches and has 480×800 pixel resolution Super AMOLED display, resulting in a detailed and colorful display with great viewing angles. The display is extremely responsive and you can navigate around the live tiles quickly.
The Focus Flash is backed by a Qualcomm MM8255 Snapdragon S2 1.4GHz processor. This processor has proven itself to be extremely reliable and works quickly. MetroPCS was the first company to offer LTE service and has now added the LG Esteem as its top smart phone with 4G LTE capabilities. The LG Esteem is large at 5.03 by 2.63 by 0.53 inches and has a durable build, making it a hefty 6.06 ounces. Able to withstand drops and bumps and with the added feature of Corning Gorilla Glass over the display, this phone is ready for anything. The 4.3 inch display is 480×800 pixel resolution and support for 262,000 colors. The display is vivid and looks great, even outdoors. The touch screen response is quick and with the 1GHz processor, apps load and run smoothly. It has Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the operating system with some slight additions by LG, like social integration, a navigation bar that allows easy access to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and airplane mode.
The Esteem has Rhapsody music service with the standard Android music player and the advanced 7.1 Dolby sound system, so your music sounds fantastic. Also included are two cameras, a 5-megapixel with flash on the back and a 1.3 on the front. These may seem average or maybe below average specs for other smart phone cameras, however, the software accompanying the cameras results in above average pictures. Intricate detail, real-to-life colors and crisp lines, these pictures beat out many 8-megapixel cameras available. The front facing camera also has great photo quality, perfect for video chatting. It also has 720p HD video capture with, like the pictures, fantastic quality. The battery life on the Esteem isn’t that great, with a rated talk time of 3.5 hours, so just be aware.
