The LG Optimus Net is a starter smart phone and another option to those who want a basic smart phone instead of a fully loaded huge super phone. The Optimus Net measures 4.47 by 2.32 by 0.48 inches, making it compact and easy to use one-handed. The plastic build gives it an average weight at 4.3 ounces and the curved edges and tapered edges gives it a very comfortable feel in the hand. The 3.2 inch LCD display is what you’d expect from a lower-end phone, good enough to read text and fairly smooth graphics. The viewing angles and outdoor viewing are not bad.
The Optimus Net runs Android Gingerbread 2.3 and has LG Optimus user interface, so organization and customization options are limitless. The 800MHz processor and 512MB of RAM give you plenty of power, even if you want to run multiple apps. The onscreen keyboard for emails, messages and browsing is well spaced and easy to type on, even though the screen is on the smaller side. The Optimus Net also has the basic smart phone features – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio, and DLNA. The Optimus Net has a 3 megapixel camera with video capture. The call quality is good for both sides of the conversation. The 1500mAh battery will keep you powered for a full day.
