The newest T-Mobile Android 2.1 OS device is the HTC MyTouch 3G Slide. Available in three colors—black, white, or red—the Slide goes on sale today, June 2. Most of the features found in the MyTouch 3G, the predecessor to the Slide, are also found on this phone. However, there are a couple key differences. For instance, the Slide comes with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which helps the phone maintain its overall compactness. Moreover, it features a large touch screen (3.4 inches) with HVGA resolution, thus ensuring high quality viewing.
The Slide has several awesome features. For example, it comes with a 5 megapixel flash camera and video recorder. As expected, the Slide has a Micro-USB port, making it simple to transfer data and sync with your computer in addition to charging your phone. A capacitive touch screen, 3G and WiFi capabilities, Bluetooth, excellent call quality, a GPS navigator, and an optical trackpad are other key features of the Slide. Besides a few tweaks here and there, it’s obvious to say that the Slide is only a slight upgrade over its predecessor. Still, it’s important to note that the Slide is an excellent choice for someone in search of a reliable smartphone.
