The Samsung Rant is a great feature phone from Sprint that offers plenty of options. The phone is 4.5 by 2.1 by 0.7 inches and feels solid.
The Rant has a top of the line, innovative user interface, making it extremely easy to organize your life. It’s called One Click and has 8 shortcuts that you can customize with any of 14 options. Scroll through the shortcuts with the d-pad and get what you need almost immediately. The full QWERTY keypad slides out from the right and is really roomy, with plenty of space between keys. You’ll be able to type accurately and quickly and with the dedicated text key brings up a new text message automatically.

The Samsung Rant also runs on EV-DO, so you have access to Sprint TV, Sprint Music Store, Sprint Movies and Sprint Radio. You also have Bluetooth, microUSB port, and GPS. The screen is 3.5 inches, has 320×480 pixel resolution and supports 16 million colors, so graphics are vibrant and it has good viewing angles. The Conquer runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and has a second generation Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon 1GHz processor, with 1GB of internal memory. This is incredible for the price – Samsung did have to cut a few corners by lowering the screen resolution, but by adding a top of the line processor and the latest Android operating system available, you’re still getting plenty more than what you’re paying for.

The Conquer runs with extreme fluidity and is very customizable, as there is no user interface over the Android operating system. The camera is 3.2 megapixels and takes decent pictures. One of the biggest draws to the Conquer will be its ability to run on Sprint’s WiMAX network and has extremely fast download and upload times. Browsing the web will be a pleasure, as the pages load quickly and have no lag as you scroll through them.
