The Palm Pre 2 is an upgrade from the Palm Pre Plus released last year. It keeps the same rounded shape, but the screen is flat instead of curved. Very pocket friends at 3.96 by 2.34 inches and .66 inches thick, this compact phone is solidly built and can easily withstand day to day usage. The 3.1 inch touch screen is very bright, the colors are deep and the touch is responsive. The slide-out physical keyboard is easy to type on and comfortable to use. Palm realized their customers needed more organizational features, so they upgraded their operating system to include these features.

One of the best new features on WebOS 2.0 is the stacking feature to help the individual organize their tasks and apps. WebOS 2.0 automatically groups related tasks into a stack similar to a stack of cards, allowing the user to switch easily through the tasks and keeping track of what programs they have open. Another improvement is called Just Type. Enter in a search term and it will automatically search every aspect of your phone, including social media apps. Find great accessories for the Palm Pre 2 at DiscountCell.com. http://www.discountcell.com/cellular/palm-pre-2-accessories.htm

We recommend getting a protective shield to protect the Palm Pre 2 from scratches and bumps. These shields come easy to install, with a front and a back piece that snap on around the phone. With custom built openings for the ports, buttons and display, ever aspect of the phone is accessible while still protecting the phone. These shields come in different colors and materials so each person can find one that fits their personality and lifestyle.

Screen protectors are also a key accessory to protect every aspect of your phone. The Pro-Tect Screen Protectors feature a universal design that can be cut to fit most electronic devices. Highly transparent Pro-Tect screen protector is virtually invisible and won’t affect touch screen sensitivity. Find more information on these accessories as well as other protective accessories available. http://www.discountcell.com/cellular/prodcat/trpre-2_12

The Palm Pixi Plus is the latest smartphone available at AT&T. Sleek, compact, and stylish, this is an excellent entry-level smartphone. It comes with all the features one would hope to find in a smartphone, and the best part is that it can be yours for $49.99 simply by signing a two year service agreement. You can also get a Palm Pixi Plus through Verizon for only $29.99.

What we like best about the Palm Pixi Plus is that it’s Wi-Fi compatible. This is an upgrade from its predecessor, the Palm Pixi. The Pixi Plus also has access to your carrier’s 3G network. This means that no matter where you go you’ll almost always have internet access on your smartphone. And, of course, the Pixi Plus doubles as a GPS navigator. Better yet, Verizon users can tether up to five wireless devices to the Pixi Plus, thus turning it into a mobile Wi-Fi router and hotspot. Of course, doing this costs an extra $40 per month and comes capped with 5 GB of data. Not bad for such a cheap (and dependable) smartphone.

The Palm Pixi Plus allows for multitasking, something that hasn’t even been available on iPhones until recently. For those who don’t know, multitasking means you can run several apps, programs, and websites at the same time. Much like a computer or laptop, multitasking smartphones let you navigate quickly between various tasks.

Other features include a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.6-inch multitouch screen. Indeed, this is an excellent smartphone for avid texters who enjoy the feel of a physical keyboard. The 2 megapixel camera leaves much to be desired, so don’t purchase this phone if you’re looking to take high-quality photos. Besides that, we feel users will overall be very satisfied owning the Palm Pixi Plus.
