The BlackBerry Curve 8930 has been billed by its creators as “a sleek new twist on a classic style.” This smartphone truly fits that description, for it is not only the thinnest QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone to date, but also the lightest. Yet with a 480×360 pixel display, this BlackBerry is by no means lacking in screen size. In fact, the HVGA+ display screens are designed to provide crisp, high-quality video and photo images. BlackBerry Curve expands the functionality of previous BlackBerrys while sticking to basic essential features. Blackberry Curve 8930 accessories are available at Discountcell.com

This newest BlackBerry smartphone doesn’t come with 3G access, but it is Wi-Fi compatible. Because it lacks 3G capabilities, 8930 smartphones are great for indoor use, especially for users who work in buildings with good Wi-Fi access or who have access to a dependable home wireless network or public hotspots. When a connection is available, you can enjoy streaming videos and music, checking email, shopping online, and other basic internet functions. BlackBerry makes setting up multiple Wi-Fi networks a simple process that allows for seamless switching back and forth between wireless services.

The BlackBerry Curve 8930 comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, which allows you to snap print-quality photos. Moreover, the auto focus, auto flash, and image stabilization features help produce even more high-quality images. This smartphone also packs a video camera and snap-and-send technology that make it easy to share images and videos in emails and text messages. The 8930 is also apt at handling mobile video streaming.

As with all new BlackBerry models, the 8930 comes with a built-in GPS navigation system. The GPS system utilizes BlackBerry Maps, meaning users needn’t worry about being lost or unable to find unfamiliar locations. The navigation system provides quick, reliable routes to any inputted destination.

Now featuring built-in GPS capabilities and trackpad navigation

“Should I get the new BlackBerry® Curve™ 8530 smartphone?” is a question many people are asking this holiday season. With so many features there is much to be said for it. Consider these facts:

Built-in GPS

GPS on your BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone works with BlackBerry® Maps to pinpoint your location and get turn-by-turn directions. Try selecting a contact from your address book to get precise directions to the contact’s location. Or type in keywords like “restaurants” or “gas stations” and off you go.

Easy-to-use

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone is designed to be intuitive and comfortable. Like a laptop, the trackpad lets you glide your finger for fast and precise scrolling through websites, menus, and icons. The 35-key backlit QWERTY keyboard lets you type messages quickly. And the bright 320×240 pixel screen displays more than 65,000 colors for a great viewing experience.

Connect at 3G speeds

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone is the first BlackBerry Curve smartphone to feature 3G technology for fast downloads and uploads. That lets you spend less time waiting and more time doing what you love.

Wi-Fi® capabilities

As if that weren’t enough, the new BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone comes with:

Dedicated media keys

Bluetooth capabilities

Integrated hands-free speakerphone

Out-of-the box Mac synchronization

256MB flash memory

4.5 hours talk time; 10.5 days standby time

Connect to BlackBerry data services through Wi-Fi hotspots at home, work, or places like airports or coffee shops. Wi-Fi connections frequently offer faster download speeds compared to cellular networks. And free or low-cost hotspots can reduce monthly data costs.

Media savvy

Take photos and record videos1, 2, 3 with the 2.0-megapixel digital camera, then post them to Facebook®, Flickr®, and MySpace™. You can even sync your iTunes® or Windows Media Player music between your computer and smartphone with BlackBerry® Media Sync.

Blackberry has released the Blackberry Curve 8900 on the T-Mobile network. The Curve 8900 is the newest member of the Curve family and has a number of upgrades. In fact, many reviewers felt that its functions were very similar to the higher end Bold.

Made for both business and entertainment, the 8900 includes a full qwerty keyboard plus stereo bluetooth. The screen is vibrant and big enough for business use though not comparable with the size of the Storm. Overall this should be a great follow up to the previous Curve units and another success for Blackberry.

Wireless email

Organizer

Browser

Phone

Camera

Video recording

BlackBerry® Maps

Media player

Built-in GPS

Corporate data access

SMS

MMS

High resolution 480 x 360 pixel color (Display)

Transmissive TFT LCD

Font size (user selectable)

Color display

Light sensing screen

The keyboard seems to be a love it or hate feature. In reviews some like the feedback the keyboard provides, others really dislike it. The screen itself is good quality and the phone is tough like most blackberry’s. Most early adopters rate it above the iPhone for business functions such as email and documents.
